Доброго всем времени суток.
Вот установил Salix xfce 14. Хотя с nouveau видео работает, все же захотелось поставить родные дрова. Скачал с сайта Nvidia-Linux-x86-96.43.23.pkg1.run
Перед этим выполнил следующие команды:

slapt-get --update
slapt-get -i kernel-sourceЗатем открыл файл /etc/inittab и в нем:

id:4:initdefault:(заменил 3 на 4. Чтобы не грузилась графическая оболочка.
Перезагрузился.)
Выполнил:

# killall -HUP init
