Скачал с сайта разработчика MPlayer-1.0rc3.tar.bz2 вот такой вот архив
Ну просто ./configure тут не прокатит как то подругому это ставится
так как ставить? скачал вот отсюда http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/news.html

Ну просто ./configure тут не прокатит как то подругому это ставится

1) почему релиз кандидат, а не релиз?
2) что пишут в README & INSTALL? это файлы такие, их читать надо в ПЕРВУЮ очередь.
а так я не помню - пересобирал как-то... но это было для Pentium I, для других CPU не вижу в этом никакого смысла - какая разница, 5% или 10% загрузки?
там написано тока какие пакеты нужны для установки они у меня все есть дальше то что?
Надо было на следующую страницу перейти.

обычно не получается так просто... но надо видеть сообщения об ошибках, что-бы их исправить.

да пробовал ни один раз! в самом каталоге нету файла configure там есть фаил version.sh
и делается это как то с применением команды sh

значит папка распакована лежит в tmp каталоге, если делать так как мне тут говорят получается следующие

Кстати, о птичках: нужно запустить configure с ключом -h и внимательно прочитать, какие параметры сборки включены, какие выключены. Например, сборка gui-интерфейса по умолчанию выключена
это консолная версия у меня она на ура ставится!
но мне нужна обычная графическая глянь плиз ту ссылку что я выложил и просто загляни в архив

NOTE: Win32 codec DLLs are not supported on your CPU (x86_64) or your
operating system (Linux). You may encounter a few files that cannot
be played due to missing open source video/audio codec support.
Check configure.log if you wonder why an autodetection failed (make sure
development headers/packages are installed).
NOTE: The --enable-* parameters unconditionally force options on, completely
skipping autodetection. This behavior is unlike what you may be used to from
autoconf-based configure scripts that can decide to override you. This greater
level of control comes at a price. You may have to provide the correct compiler
and linker flags yourself.
If you used one of these options (except --enable-gui and similar ones that
turn on internal features) and experience a compilation or linking failure,
make sure you have passed the necessary compiler/linker flags to configure.
