Теперь в играх есть изображение, но мерцает какие-то чёрные прямоугольники.
С radeon.modeset=0 загружаешься? Если композит выключить, моргание пропадает? Если да, то композит так работает c dri.
Выход kms+dri2, попробуй ядро 2.6.35 из experimental и грузись уже с modeset.
Осталась только одна проблема (что хорошо): при включённом композитном режимы идёт мерцание в нативных OpenGL-приложениях (в Wine всё работает). Собственно, это не сильно страшно, учитывая то, что вместо LinCity-NG я могу играть в SimCity 3000 (или SimCity 4), который явно лучше.
Update: SimCity 3000 не заработал =(. А SimCity 4 сложно достать.
И так: поставил Kubuntu Lucid (через debootstrap, чтобы диск не марать) на два компьютера с AMD Radeon HD 4600 Series (один - сабж, другой - друга). Через Jockey поставил fglrx.
Результат: на видеокарте друга всё чудесно работает, а на сабже - нет. Теперь я точно уверен, что настроить fglrx для работы с сабжем нельзя.
