my /etc/default/keyboard
# KEYBOARD CONFIGURATION FILE
# Consult the keyboard(5) manual page.
XKBMODEL="armada"
XKBLAYOUT="us,ru"
XKBVARIANT=",dos"
XKBOPTIONS="grp:lalt_toggle,grp:switch,lv3:menu_switch,terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp,grp_led:scroll"
BACKSPACE="guess"
and I use commands
root@debian:/home/lm# dpkg-reconfigure locales
Generating locales (this might take a while)...
en_US.UTF-8... done
ru_RU.UTF-8... done
Generation complete.
*** update-locale: Warning: LANGUAGE ("en_US:en") is not compatible with LANG (ru_RU.UTF-8). Disabling it.
root@debian:/home/lm# dpkg-reconfigure console-data
Looking for keymap to install:
ru2
lm@debian:~$ dpkg --get-selections | grep -Ei "keyboard|kdb|console"
cairo-dock-keyboard-indicator-plug-in install
console-common install
console-data install
console-setup install
console-setup-linux install
consolekit install
keyboard-configuration install
lm@debian:~$
but nothing happened, and cant to switch. Even if I touch icon in tray , here is just US flag icon, not RU.
Can somebody tell where else I need to change?
P.S. This cannot switch in LXDE, or clear openbox, or icewm, and when I use Gnome or Gnome/openbox, it switched.
Then I use command in console
root@debian:/home/lm# setxkbmap -option grp:switch,grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll de,tr,us
root@debian:/home/lm# jjjjjjjeee€eeeee€eeeeeeeeeeeeedddddddssssaaaaasdfhhjkkllşiişş;;ööşş;;ööööşşşşşş
So, there are changed layouts, but just by touch icon, but alt_shift still doesn't work. Why?
