debian 6 , при входе из иксов через консоль ctrl alt F{1,2,3 и тд} с последующим startx пишет fatal error и просит проверить не запущены ли они уже, ну они то запущены пользователь то зашел а вот рут не может. вот вопрос, так и должно быть или у мну что то не так? и подскажите по установке дров к нвидии, при установке поругался на gcc (версия 4.4 а нид вроде 4.3 или наоборот, сейчас нет возможности посмотреть) вопрос как глянуть стоит драйвер или нет(компиз не фунциклирует, да и драйвер мне оф нужен иначе нет звука, идет по hdmi ) в lsmod висит нвидия.(какс правильно поставить)
а вот рут не может. вот вопрос, так и должно быть или у мну что то не так?
Скажем — так может быть, зависит от отношения разработчиков конкретного дистрибутива к безопасности.
Ну и опять же, если «иксы» уже запущены, ещё один их экземпляр можно запустить на другом DISPLAY, либо предварительно «убить» уже запущенные.
P.S. Не устаю повторять: вместо того, чтобы пересказывать сообщения консоли, лучше показать файл логов. ;)

2. установка официального драйвера NVidia (возможность слышать) ругается на версию GCC и после установки вроде как процесс nvidia висит но визуально ничего не изменилось (компиз неработает, звука нет) как проверить встали или нет,

Так может быть, зависит от настроек. Для чистоты эксперимента загрузитесь в чистую консоль без запуска «иксов» и проверьте.

Точно не скажу, но судя по логу используется NOUVEAU. Этот модуль нужно занести в blacklist, как это делается в вашем дистрибутиве, я не помню. Но на форуме обсуждалось недавно.
при входе из иксов через консоль ctrl alt F{1,2,3 и тд} с последующим startx пишет fatal error и просит проверить не запущены ли они уже, ну они то запущены пользователь то зашел а вот рут не может. вот вопрос, так и должно быть или у мну что то не так?
если gnome, то надо gnome-session start делать, а не startx писать.
