Здравствуйте, я новичок в линукс. Прочитал вики по дебиан, но так и не смог поставить драйвера на видеокарту ATI Mobility HD5600. Дистрибутив Debian Squeeze. Подскажите, что делать?

Поставить Убунту.
А что других вариантов нет?

Ставлю закрытый драйвер. Скачал сам драйвер с сайта амд, через консоль установил его, сам ATI Catalist Control Centr установился, но fglrxinfo не показывает мою видеокарту, если в Control Centr выбрать видюшку, то при перезагрузке обратно сбрасывается.

У Вас не подгружен модуль ядра, попробуйте от рута
[console]modprobe -v fglrx[/console]
потом
[console]fglrxinfo[/console]
Для выполнения команд glxinfo | grep render и glxgears
должен быть установлен пакет mesa-utils

Вы не до конца установили драйвер. Точнее не были собраны модули ядра.
Проверьте все ли шаги по установке Вы сделали.
В общем, драйвера встали, эффекты стали работать, опенгл тоже, но fglrx всё равно видеокарту не показывает.

Я так понимаю что он не может что-то там найти или что ему гаду надо???
